Overview
This project aims to document and publish history of the parklands and DPA for the information of the local community, historical records and other community groups.
Status
As at Feb 2010 the DPA has secured over $20,000 in funding for this project, comprising $6,000 from a public records office grant, $8,000 from Banyule Council, $1,000 from Amcor and around $5,000 from the sale of fundraising greeting cards.
During November 2009 the DPA commissioned an historian to write a social history of the organisation and the parklands more broadly, with the aim of producing a manuscript within 12 months for publication in booklet form and on the web.
